Summer Credit Recovery
Hampton City Schools Credit Recovery
Students seeking Credit Recovery (retaking a semester/year of a course required for graduation) can register with the link below. There is no cost for students wishing to recover credits this summer with Hampton City Schools. Term Grads (current seniors) will start summer school immediately on June 21st. All other students (rising 10 - 12th graders), will start recovering courses online on July 6th. Credit Recovery is available at no cost to families

SUMMER BUSINESS INSTITUTE
RISING 10TH - 12TH GRADER
Description: Summer Business Institute immerses students in experiences that require them to apply career academy knowledge to an industry-specific challenge. Each challenge is aligned to the related career academy and integrates academic, technical and research skills in career exploration.
Date: July 18 - Aug 11, 2022; Monday - Thursday
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Summer Career College
Rising 9th Grader
Join The Academies of Hampton this Summer for the Summer Career College at each High School. Students will travel to Old Dominion University, Peninsula Higher Education Center in Hampton. Students may choose a different career cluster each week: Public Service, Health Science, Engineering and Technology, Creative Arts, Business and Technology.

Join The Academies of Hampton this Summer for The Floating Classroom - Summer Edition extends the learning outside of the classroom and affords students the opportunities to create and problem solve in a real-world environment that brings forth social and personal skills, relevance, and interest. NASA partnership
NASA's African-American Employee Resource Group Collaboration Team sponsored the event, which featured students from Phoebus and Hampton High Schools. Student chefs from Phoebus’s Academy of Hospitality and Tourism led by Chef Travis Walker, prepared a meal in the student-run restaurant and students from the Phoebus's Digital Video Production academy provided live broadcast to NASA.
