Culinary Students at Phoebus High School win 1st place!
Students in the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, Culinary Pathway won 1st Place during the Annual Hampton Oyster Soup Tasting Competition on Saturday, November 4, 2023, sponsored by Shored Up, LLC. Chef Walker and his sous chefs took on well-known restaurants in the community to win bragging rights as the BEST PLACE to get your Oyster Soup! The Blue Phantom Inn Restaurant is located in Phoebus High School as part of the Academies of Hampton teaching and learning transformation model. Congratulations, Coach Blunt and PHS Varsity Football!
Mr. Coccoli and Coach Blunt were recently presented with a copy of Senate Resolution153 commending the Phoebus Varsity Football Team for winning the 2022 Virginia High School League Class 3 State Championship and as an expression of the Senate of Virginia’s admiration for the team’s achievements. Congratulations, once again to Coach Blunt and the Varsity Football Team. Go Phantoms!
Congratulations to Tirzah Sarro-Jaynes! She was recognized at the Hampton School Board Meeting as the Hampton City Schools High School Teacher of the Year. She is an excellent educator and we’re lucky to have her!
