Word of the WEEK



"Weekly Writing Prompt":
Students will have weekly opportunities to complete a Weekly Writing Prompt prior to taking the EOC Writing SOL. Writing Prompts will be placed on the board directly across from B28. Students who complete a Writing Prompts papers will be submitted to the English department. The student with the best paragraph will also win a prize. 
 
Your SOL Testing Office is sponsoring a weekly "WORD of the Week". A new word will be posted every Tuesday. Student will have an opportunity to define the word and use it in a complete sentence. 

Prizes will be given weekly based on the following criteria:
1. The most creative sentence, using correct grammar and sentence structure.
2. The first student to turn in the correct definition and the word used in a complete sentence.                       

The "WORD of the Week" for September 12th - 15th was:

LOCQUACIOUS 

Locquacious simples to be extremely talkative or wordly
