Robotics Team 2028

At the 2015 Palmetto Regional last Thursday-Saturday, the Phoebus FIRST Robotics team, Phantom Mentalists, team 2028, had a great performance. We placed 21 out of 66 teams, we made it to the quarter finals, and we received the Excellence in Engineering Award by the judges. The Excellence in Engineering Award is described by FIRST as:
"Excellence in Engineering Award sponsored by Delphi

Celebrates an elegant and advantageous machine feature."

In their announcement of the award, they credited our "automated stacking design that allowed the robot to make multiple stacks of totes and deposit them on the Scoring Platform without even moving the robot. Our control system and programming enabled the student drivers to simply turn a selector switch to request the size of the stack."
